Exploring the Brooklyn Heights Association Designer Show House
Katriona: So I'm here today with Carolyn Bever for LCB Design Group and we've just been through the Brooklyn Heights Association Designer Show House. I asked Carolyn what’s the most surprising thing that you've seen today.
Carolyn: I wasn't expecting the top floor to have that beautiful atrium with the amount of
light and then the suspended rise at the stairs steps in such a modern staircase. They pulled it off really well. I mean it looked like it needed to be there.
Katriona: My second question is what have you seen that you're going to rip off
and duplicate because we all do that!
Carolyn: There are a lot of things that I actually might do but I think one of the things is that I'm a classic girl. I love traditional things but I loved the plaid runner with beautiful colors of different types of wool. Then when you got to the top of the staircase, rather than just ending the runner, they used it as an area rug but left just two inches off the wall so you could still see the beautiful hardwood floors. Just the continuous flow that it gave you.
Katriona: So that's something I wouldn't have noticed! Come down and take a look. It's on here for about another five weeks.
